Since one student in the classroom is gifted and one has ADHD, this strategy can be slightly modified. The gifted student can be given extra work to complete when the graphic organizing experience is done and will be able to work at his or her own pace. Graphic organizers are shown to be an excellent strategy for students with ADHD as they help to create visual links to abstract information, and can help a student who has trouble concentrating to physically organize their thoughts (Low, 2016). Therefore, this strategy is already suitable for this student, and requires minimal modification. However, student will be provided with additional time to complete the assignment if needed (Low, 2016).
